"Faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true"

Faith and Prayer
Faith can be strengthened through the power of prayer. You exercise your faith by praying. You must have the faith to know that your prayer will be answered. How can daily prayer strengthen your faith? The first principle of the gospel is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 11:6 says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
I find faith in praying. It gives me strength to know that if I have a problem or a question, I can ask and I will receive. It may not come at the moment that I want it to, but I know that my prayer will be answered. The answer may not be out and open, it may be very quiet and you may not know that your prayer was answered.

Faith and Mothers
Discover the principles of faith taught by the mothers of Helaman’s stripling warriors.
Alma 56:45-48 says, "45 And now I say unto you, my beloved brother Moroni, that never had I seen so great courage, nay, not amongst all the Nephites. For as I had ever called them my sons (for they were all of them very young) even so they said unto me: Father, behold our God is with us, and he will not suffer that we should fall; then let us go forth; we would not slay our brethren if they would let us alone; therefore let us go, lest they should overpower the army of Antipus. Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them. And they rehearsed unto me the words of their mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it."
What is a mother's role in her family? What does she do for her family? Are mothers even important? Mothers are very important to everyone. They teach us as children and nurture us. They love and care for us. They are very necessary for the growth and development of our youth.
Mothers need to have strong faith, because their faith will influence their children. They need to reassure their children in times of need and other bad times. Mothers need to convince themselves of their faith before they can ever convince others. Ask your mother about the important role of motherhood and how you can prepare for it.
